A small start..
I used to collect those small Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars and I still have them, But recently started collecting 1/18 models. Why directly 1/18 because I love detailed works.

The Audi R8 V10, The BMW M3 E92 and The Lambo LP 550-2 Balboni

Have ordered for the 1/18 Minichamps SLS AMG in red color and I am on the lookout for the 1/18 HWE 458 Italia and the 1/18 HWE 599 GTO..

And Sorry no detailed pics.. either my camera sucks or I do Tongue

Hi Curiosity, welcome to SMC Smile

Those are some fine models to start your innings here mate. Don't worry, the pictures have turned out fine.
Try some more in daylight too. I am especially interested in seeing the interiors of that Balboni Gallardo - still on the fence about whether to get her or the Super Trofeo... your pics could maybe help me make my mind up.

I saw the new autoart's in modelzone yesterday. the Super Trofeo is shattering in orange. Get both as they are both masterpieces. Trust me.

RE: A small start..
Maybe a small start but what a glorious start. I hear the little fellows sitting on either sides on your shoulders go 'hallelujah! hallelujah!' Love them. I think that Hotwheels and Matchbox have lost a collector permanently. Big Grin

If you can't dazzle them with brillance, baffle them with bullshit.

Welcome to the forums, Curiosity. Great start, and the E92 looks great in red, as do the others. I'm sure you'll have a great time here at SMC.

Cheers

Thanks Guggga, I will click the interior pics over the weekend and will post them here. If you are finalizing your purchases before that please let me know I will try to click a few and post earlier.

Thanks groundforce, I was contemplating between the white and the red. But I am more than happy with it. It was my first 1/18 scale model!

Thanks srinjayray, I am a sucker for detailed things. I don't plan to buy scales frequently, because of the finances, but whenever I do I will buy the ones with good details.

My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston)
